Ripple has received full regulatory approval in Luxembourg, upgrading its preliminary crypto asset service provider license to fully compliant status under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework. The approval allows Ripple to operate its payments and crypto services across all 30 countries in the European Economic Area, serving financial institutions, corporates and other businesses. MiCA, which establishes harmonized rules for crypto firms operating in the bloc, requires providers to meet standards on governance, capital and consumer protection. By securing the license in Luxembourg, Ripple gains passporting rights that enable it to offer regulated services throughout the region without seeking separate authorizations in individual member states. The move strengthens Ripple's foothold in the European market as the company expands its cross-border payments and digital asset infrastructure amid growing regulatory clarity across the continent.
