Securitize has received SEC clearance on its registration statement, moving the tokenization firm closer to a public listing on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SECZ. The milestone comes as part of a SPAC merger process, with the deal expected to close shortly after a shareholder vote from CEPT, the special purpose acquisition company involved, scheduled later this month. If shareholders approve the merger, Securitize would become one of the few blockchain-focused firms to achieve a major US exchange listing in the current regulatory environment. Securitize specializes in tokenizing real-world assets, including private equity and funds, and counts BlackRock among its notable partners. The listing would provide the company with greater access to public capital markets.
