T. Rowe Price, a firm managing roughly $1.9 trillion in assets, has moved into the digital asset space with the launch of its TKNZ Active Crypto ETF. The fund began trading Thursday, following the firm's initial filing for the product in October. Unlike many existing crypto ETFs that passively track a single asset, TKNZ is actively managed and offers exposure to multiple tokens, allowing portfolio managers to adjust holdings over time. The launch reflects growing participation from established traditional finance institutions in the cryptocurrency market, as demand for regulated investment vehicles continues to expand. By entering the sector with an actively managed structure, T. Rowe Price aims to differentiate its offering from competitors while providing investors diversified access to digital assets through a familiar exchange-traded fund format.
